Family Pictures 2012

Our family pictures arrived and I couldn't be more happier! There were so many to choose from... and I am still browsing each one because I love them all :)  We did them in front of our house and across the street at Patterson Park. We wanted something from our neighborhood so we could remember where it was at. Mark Thackeray at Pier 23 did them. He is just wonderful and I would recommend him to everyone!

Halloween Week!

I saw Halloween week because there has been happenings all week long. First we started off with a pumpkin craft of shaving cream & glue to make puffy paint. They had a blast! (and I had a blast cleaning up)

Then on Thursday we went to the Weber's Family pumpkin patch where I was interviewed and put on the evening news! Saturday was a big festival in Patterson Park, so we headed over there. Nick put Colette in a costume contest and he says she won, but they called her the wrong name, so a different ladybug went up. We will never know if she actually did win... ;)
That night was the Lantern parade. It is where people make paper/plastic/whatever lanterns with lights and parade around the park. It was really cool to see at night!
Below...three ladies dancing in the parade that make me LOVE Baltimore!

AND THEN on Monday was Hurricane Sandy. Colette and I headed outside to play in the rain before it got too windy...Good thing Grandma Kaye sent her a raincoat! We were soaked when we headed back in (after 5 minutes).
That night we carved pumpkins! Colette was very into digging in the pumpkin guts, but she was scared of Nick's pumpkin!

And finally, Halloween night. Dispite what her face is showing, she LOOOVES her costume! (she has demanded to wear it all day today). We took her to a couple houses and she was confused at first, but got the hang of it. She really just liked walking around with us and see all the other kids in their costumes.

All her spoils from a hard night's work.
And this is still lingering around...I've tried everything to get her to stop. Nicely, threatening, mocking, band-aids on fingers...nothing is working so I guess she'll just have to out grow it or be made fun of from peers until it stops. Good thing she is just so cute!

Hurricane Sandy in Baltimore

My friend snapped these pictures this morning while she was out walking. All of this is within walking distance to my house. We are very blessed to not have had one single problem! And we found out many in Baltimore are without power, including people that live in the county.

Family Picture preview....

So we had family pictures taken a few weeks ago by Nick's friend Mark at Pier 23. He does a lot of East coast weddings, so he flew out here for one and we were lucky enough to be squeezed in to his short trip! Here are a couple he has posted online that I copied to show them to you all...I can't wait to see the rest!

Happy Day

This little girl adores her daddy! When he comes home from work she just giggles with excitment! So it's no suprise she loves to skateboard with him! What a fun night this was.

Apple Orchard...well sort of

We attempted to go apple picking. Turned out winter has come two weeks early so all the apples were already picked. Not wanting to waste an hour drive we instead picked a couple mini pumpkins! August and Cole were still so happy to be out and about...and yes, I did pick up some apples in the shop. They are waiting to be eaten, frozen in an apple pie form.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a really fun time at the pumpkin patch! Colette loved to pet the pony and cow and feed the chickens! Then we got a hayride to the pumpkin field where they had the most beautiful pumpkins! The field also had lots of caterpillars, so Nick showed Cole what they were, and she was scared at first, but we convined her to pet them. After that we did face painting and a roll in the hay! It was a great time...I can't wait for all the holidays to start pouring in.
