April and May happenings...

We went to the B&O Railroad museum. You know, like in the game Monopoly.

Colette and I threw a little garden party for her friends. We planted a flower then had lunch. Look at these cute little cupcakes I made!

I turned 30! For my birthday Colette and I went to the Baltimore Zoo. It was a super fun day filled with all the little nonsense things the zoo has to offer!
Colette's little flower from the garden party died, despite my best efforts.
They had their first popsicle!
For my birthday I got a new bike and a seat and helmet for Colette. We love going on rides together in the evening.
Colette turned 2!!
Birthday gift for Colette that Nick and I made!
Funny faces with mom.
Nick had a presentation at Brown to give, so we all drove up to Rhode Island to visit. We drove past our old apartment rental.
Colette and Penny. Friends since day one.
Colette had the best time with her closest little friends! She just loves these kids so much.

Went to the Patterson Park Yard Sale. Nick picked up these beauty. A Barbie skateboard.
Woke up one morning and decided to go to the Washington, D.C. zoo. It was a fast trip, but we had a great time. (followed by Sprinkles of course)
One of my San Diego roommates, Allison, moved out here with her little family. Here is Colette playing with Anna.
Wasting time at Target with Lily and her mom.
Another birthday shot. At the zoo for my birthday.

Long time no blog...

Ok, I haven't blogged in a long time. Why? Because I was busy and didn't have time to/didn't really want to because I didn't think anyone read the blog so my effort was wasted. Well here I am back. For good? Not sure. But I'll give it my best effort! Here is what has been going on for February and March. If you follow me on Instagram (kimkedwards) then you might have seen some of these photo's, but if not, then here are some fun pictures of what we have been up to.
I cut bangs.
I joined a knitting group and learned to knit.
We bought a new car. Honda Pilot. It seats 8, but we don't plan on filling them.

Lots and lots of play time.
Turned out I hated the colours I chose for the stripes. So I repainted.

My bangs started to grow out and I started to hate them. (Nick was right)
My knitting skills are not that great. Maybe I'll try crochet...?
Our good friends the Resch family came to visit us from Rhode Island!
So that is some of what happened in February and March. Tomorrow I'll blog April and May...

Family Pictures 2012

Our family pictures arrived and I couldn't be more happier! There were so many to choose from... and I am still browsing each one because I love them all :)  We did them in front of our house and across the street at Patterson Park. We wanted something from our neighborhood so we could remember where it was at. Mark Thackeray at Pier 23 did them. He is just wonderful and I would recommend him to everyone!

Halloween Week!

I saw Halloween week because there has been happenings all week long. First we started off with a pumpkin craft of shaving cream & glue to make puffy paint. They had a blast! (and I had a blast cleaning up)

Then on Thursday we went to the Weber's Family pumpkin patch where I was interviewed and put on the evening news! Saturday was a big festival in Patterson Park, so we headed over there. Nick put Colette in a costume contest and he says she won, but they called her the wrong name, so a different ladybug went up. We will never know if she actually did win... ;)
That night was the Lantern parade. It is where people make paper/plastic/whatever lanterns with lights and parade around the park. It was really cool to see at night!
Below...three ladies dancing in the parade that make me LOVE Baltimore!

AND THEN on Monday was Hurricane Sandy. Colette and I headed outside to play in the rain before it got too windy...Good thing Grandma Kaye sent her a raincoat! We were soaked when we headed back in (after 5 minutes).
That night we carved pumpkins! Colette was very into digging in the pumpkin guts, but she was scared of Nick's pumpkin!

And finally, Halloween night. Dispite what her face is showing, she LOOOVES her costume! (she has demanded to wear it all day today). We took her to a couple houses and she was confused at first, but got the hang of it. She really just liked walking around with us and see all the other kids in their costumes.

All her spoils from a hard night's work.
And this is still lingering around...I've tried everything to get her to stop. Nicely, threatening, mocking, band-aids on fingers...nothing is working so I guess she'll just have to out grow it or be made fun of from peers until it stops. Good thing she is just so cute!
